Background:

The reinforcement project of Shanghai-Kunming Railway is located in K698 + 440 ~ K699 + 350. At May 23, 2010, there was a K859 train derailment accident caused by a terrible flood in a century because the landslides of the left of Shanghai-Kunming Railway formed debris flow and rushed into the railway line. The landslides was about 8000m³. Emergency reinforcement project was demanded to clear the landslide immediately and reinforce the mountain slope and railway with self drilling rock bolt.

Solution:

The mountain slope of landslides, lying right low left high and having a big undulation, has a good slope vegetation development. Its ground elevation is 60 ~ 200m, relative height is 140m, and the natural slopes is 25 to 45 degrees. Using self drilling rock bolt to reinforce, the anchor OD is 32mm; wall thickness≥5mm; ultimate tensile strength of self drilling rock bolt≥280kn; drill bit diameter ≥ 50 mm; diameter of bores≥80mm; length of self drilling rock bolt used in slope≥12m; Vertical and horizontal spacing used plum-shaped layout about 2.5m; and downward inclination of self drilling rock bolt used in slope is 20 degrees.
