In October, 2017, a series of wildfires attacked Northern California. The reasons of these fires are the long time high temperature, the longtime drought, the fast population growth and the terrible diablo winds. The maximum wind speed can up to 113 mph, which is much faster than the speed that the firemen put out the fires and the speed that the local inhabitants run away. According to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, a total of 8,442 fires have burned 1,087,639 acres across Northern California, leading to at least 43 deaths and the destruction of about 5700 structures, including homes and businesses. Sonoma County bore the brunt of the disaster, lost about 5,000 homes, and Santa Rosa – the largest city in this county, 3,000 homes were destroyed. Up there in the rebuilding, people will need a lot of help. It’s going to be a massive effort with the amount of homes that have been lost. Some believe the reconstruction process could take 3 to 5 years to complete. State official have said that they expect the rebuilding to start in earnest in the spring time.
Some people worry about the shortages in skilled labor and materials. In this situation the self drilling rock bolting system can be a good choice. The core component of this system is the self drilling hollow anchor bolt. This kind of hollow anchor bolt set drilling, grouting and anchoring in a single process, with the flexible rod length, the anchor bolt can be lengthened with couplings or cut at any point. These features make it very easy to be installed, even if the operator is not so skilled. What’s more, with the help of this measure the construction project can save many materials. The support effect of the self drilling rock bolt system is impressive. With this method the rebuilding work can be completed earlier with good effect.
