Lom Pangar Hydroelectric Station in Cameroon

On March 9, Lom Pangar Hydroelectric Station in Cameroon was bidden by a Chinese company.

The designed installed capacity of Lom Pangar Hydroelectric Station is 30MW and construction period is one year. After completion, it will provide electricity for surrounding villages through 120-kilometer transmission cable.

Lom Pangar Hydroelectric Station was constructed by CWE, water storage can reach 6 billion cubic meters at maximum. In September, 2015, this dam has achieved partial water storage, which is more than 3 billion cubic meters. By July, 2016, this dam will be consigned to owner (Electricity Development Corporation).

After completion and storage of water, Lom Pangar Hydroelectric Station will help to adjust water-carrying capacity of upstream of Sanaga basin. At the same time, it will supply water for downstream every dry season and improve generating capacity of Edea and Song Loulou Hydroelectric Station.

Since September 29, 2011, Lom Pangar Hydroelectric Station started working, all staffs of Project Department overcame many objective factors, such as: tight construction period, incomplete bidding design and complex social environment, etc. They handled every problem and achieved goal eventually.

Self drilling anchor bolt has great supporting effect and ensures project’s security and long-term stability.
