December 8, the middle-low speed magnetic levitation railway has been laid and erected in Changsha, Hunan Province, China. It will be started trail recently, which is developed by China own search technology. The whole length is 18.5 kilometers from Changsha South Railway to Huanghua Airport.
Magnetic levitation railway is recognized as a new pattern with core technology of next generation. At moment, Japan has tested high-speed magnetic levitation railway with 600 kilometers per hour, while China is developing more economic and more practical magnetic levitation railway with middle and low speed.
Treat operation is one of the important links in Changsha magnetic levitation system engineering, which will roundly and systematically demonstrate the safety, matching ability and applicability of fixed facility and mobile devices under actual operation conditions. The highest speed is designed 100 kilometers per hour, which is faster than Changsha Metro Line 2.
Vice chief engineer introduced that the outstanding features of magnetic levitation railway were stable, quiet and magnetic radiation intensity was even lower than domestic appliances.
At moment, mop-up work is underway: debug and improve trains, check key positions and so on. With the completion of magnetic levitation railway, Changsha will upgrade to a comprehensive transportation junction combining magnetic levitation railway, metro and high-speed rail together, which promotes Changsha to be a modern city with developed transport hub system.
