Tunisia is working on a series of major new highway connections. The new highway connecting Bou Salem with Beja and Oued Zarga should be ready for traffic in the third quarter of 2016.
This will provide a highway link all the way from capital Tunis to Bou Salem, as the A3 previously stopped at Oued Zarga. In addition, the new highway connecting Gabès with Medenine in the south of Tunisia will be completed by the end of 2017.
Meanwhile the winner of the tender process for the study into the El Kef highway connection will be announced shortly. The El Kef highway link is expected to cost US$272.5 million in all, with the work planned to be split into four separate sections.
Based on the numerous successful engineering practices, self drilling anchor system has been a popular geological anchoring technology for highway construction and has a wide range of application prospect. Self drilling anchor system can integrate drilling, grouting and anchoring as a whole. Because of the features of simple operation, fast construction speed, large anchoring force, good corrosion resistance and light weight, self drilling anchor system will meet the increasing demands and requirements of highway projects. Especially for the complex geological conditions, self drilling anchor system has a great advantage over other anchoring products.
